Our water
We use reverse osmosis to purify every litre we sell. The process removes a wide range of impurities while keeping the water clean-tasting and fresh — and it is the same process whether the water ends up in a 500ml bottle or a tanker.
How it works
Raw water first passes through sediment and activated carbon filters. These remove sand, rust, silt, chlorine, odours and organic compounds. As well as improving the water, this protects the reverse osmosis membrane from damage and keeps the whole system running efficiently.
The water is then forced under controlled pressure through a semi-permeable membrane with pores of around 0.0001 microns. At that scale only water molecules pass through. Dissolved salts, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, chemicals and pesticides are rejected and flushed away.
This stage removes up to 99% of dissolved impurities, which is what makes the difference between filtered water and purified water.
The purified water passes through a final polishing filter, which sharpens its clarity and taste. From there it is stored hygienically and held ready for bottling or dispensing.
Quality control
Every batch is produced through a monitored purification process and checked before release. We do this because water is the whole business — if a batch is not right, nothing else about the order matters.
Containers are rinsed and sanitised before filling, sealed immediately afterwards, and batch-marked so any container can be traced back to the run it came from.
